27th annual Taste of Michiana offers samples of local flavors

If there’s a restaurant in Michiana that you’ve been meaning to try but haven’t gotten to yet, the Taste of Michiana is the event for you.

The 27th annual event is happening from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at the Century Center in South Bend. Each ticket is a pass for all-you-can-eat-and-drink (yes, including booze, so bring a designated driver) from at least 27 different restaurants and wineries. Proceeds will benefit the veterans program at Life Treatment Centers, an addiction treatment facility in South Bend.

While you’re there, you might try some great burgers, tacos, wings, sushi or locally-made beer. If you do, nominate those places for the Best of the 574. We’re still accepting nominations through Sunday, April 30.

Tickets for Taste of Michiana are sold at the door and are $25 for adults, $10 for older children and free for toddlers. Krystal and Rob got to preview some of the food before the event. Listen to the podcast below to find out more.
