The results are in, and the winners are coffee drinkers!
As part of the convenience store’s fifth quadrennial Presidential Coffee Cup Poll, customers can vote with their extra-large coffee cup choice: blue Democrat, red Republican and purple for Speak Up, the nonpartisan choice.
After each presidential debate, customers can scan their app at participating 7-Eleven stores to get their extra-large election coffee for $1
“We think $1 coffee is an All-American perk that cuts across party lines,” Laura Gordon, 7‑Eleven vice president of marketing and brand innovation, said in a press release.
Coffee will be available for $1 on the following dates:
- September 27
- October 10
- October 20
- November 8.
Nationally, the current voting has the Democrat and Republican cups tied at 30 percent of the vote each, with the nonpartisan Speak Up cup leading with 41 percent of the votes in the poll.
In Indiana, the Speak Up cup leads the pack at 46 percent of votes, followed by the Republican and Democrat cups at 28 percent and 26 percent, respectively.
Michigan is similar to Indiana’s results with the Speak Up cup leading, followed by the Republican and Democrat cups with respective votes of 43 percent, 29 percent and 28 percent.
