If you’ve got the walk and the talk, you can dig up some tasty pirate treasure on International Talk Like a Pirate Day (Monday, Sept. 19).
Krispy Kreme Donuts and Long John Silvers are offering free food to customers who visit and talk like or dress like a pirate.
Customers to Krispy Kreme can get a free glazed doughnut for talking like a pirate, or a free dozen glazed doughnuts for dressing like a pirate. To qualify, a person must wear at least three of the following: a pirate hat, a bandanna, an eye-patch, a costume hook, a pirate shirt, a peg-leg, a parrot, or knickers.

Alternatively, a Krispy Kreme Snapchat pirate filter will be available to “dress” like a pirate. Customers may show their Snapchat image to Krispy Kreme staff and will receive their free dozen doughnuts, according to a press release.

If you set sail to Long John Silver’s you can get a free piece of Alaskan whitefish or chicken for talking like a pirate. If you dress the part, you can get yourself a two-piece fish or chicken basket. For the official dress code, click here.
