Anyone who’s visited Journeyman Distillery knows they make good craft spirits, and now they’re starting to get noticed nationally.
USA Today’s 10Best team recently conducted two reader’s choice polls to find out the best craft rum and vodka distilleries in the country.

Garrett Ragland, marketing manager for Journeyman, said that the focus on craft production is at the heart of what the distillery is about.
“It’s a huge honor to be recognized at the national level,” said Ragland. “It’s something we’ve been working toward for five years.”
A panel of experts in each field partnered with USA Today to pick the initial 20 nominees in each category, and readers were able to vote from their favorite from the list.
Journeyman is open from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday; from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.

The distillery — and its restaurant, Staymaker — is located at 109 Generations Drive in Three Oaks, Mich., in the historic Featherbone Factory on the north side of the railroad tracks.
