Explore the 4-H Fair and cap the evening with craft cocktails
Fair week is wrapping up in Elkhart County, and what better way to spend date night this weekend than an evening at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair?
There’s plenty of gold-standard fair food to fill you up all day long, and there’s a reason they’ve been staple eats at the fair for many years.
You can also sample some of the new food available for 2016, including the the Funnel Bacon on a Stick, which Food Guy Marshall V. King thinks is top notch.
If you’re unsure about some of the new food, we took some time earlier this week and went on a food adventure, taste-testing some of the new food options for 2016.
And of course, there are countless carnival games and carnival rides to enjoy.
If cars smashing into each other for your enjoyment is more your speed, the demolition derby starts at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at the grandstand. You can even hang out with Tommie Carroll from 103.9 The Bear from 5 to 7 p.m. outside the grandstand before the derby starts.
End your evening with a stop to the newly opened Common Spirits at 111 E. Lincoln Ave. in Goshen.
Jami and Ryan Hawkins have been hard at work crafting unique cocktails and small dishes that delight the sense.
