It’s July 11 and that means you can get a free Slurpee!

7-Eleven will be offering a free small Slurpee, as they have on past 7-Eleven Days, but that’s not all. In order to celebrate 50 years of the frozen drink, customers who buy seven Slurpees any time from July 12 to 18 and scan the 7-Eleven app will be given a coupon for 11 free Slurpees, according to a press release.

Coupons for the free drinks may be found in the Scan and Save section of the app. Coupons will appear 24 hours after the last drink is purchased.

The app is free to download, and available in the App Store and on Google Play, but customers must register to become a 7Rewards member to participate. The free drinks must be redeemed by Aug. 31.

“Every year, 7-Eleven Day gives us an opportunity to have some fun, say thank-you to our customers and celebrate our birthday Slurpee style,” said Laura Gordon, 7-Eleven vice president of marketing and brand innovation, in a release. “This year is a big birthday for Slurpee, and a big year. One day, even one week, isn’t enough so we began celebrating in January and plan to keep it up until the end of the year.”

7-Eleven is also releasing a Fanta Birthday Cake flavor in celebration of the Slurpee’s 50th birthday. The flavor is described as “a combination of traditional birthday cake and vanilla ice cream flavors,” the release described. The convenience store also recently released a Sour Patch Redberry flavor.

Slurpee-themed items will also be available at convenience stores, including donuts, lollipops, cotton candy, marshmallow pops, candy straws, Pop-tarts, beach towels, socks, beverage holders, T-shirts and party pic packs.
