It’s grilling season. You know it. I know it. The whole country knows it.
As much as I love the taste of meats fresh of the coals, apartment living doesn’t allow me to fulfill my summertime grilling needs.
Instead, I go to my old standby: pigs in a blanket. These piggies are super simple and family friendly.
If you’re like me and don’t have a grill, or don’t feel like getting rained on this weekend, try them out!
PIGS IN A BLANKET
Time in the oven: 16 to 18 minutes
Servings: 11 dogs
• Refrigerated dough (I used eight Pillsbury biscuits)
• 11 hot dogs
• Toppings as desired
1. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
2. Wrap up the hot dogs in the dough. Get creative! Try spirals, or even actual piggies. (Mine looked kind of scary, but oh well!)
3. Place on greased baking sheet and bake for 16 to 18 minutes, or until golden brown.
