Spring official starts on March 20, but for many in the Midwest it’s not official until kegs of Oberon from Bell’s Brewery start getting tapped on March 21.
The seasonal wheat ale is released each year to coincide with the start of spring and the start of the Major League Baseball season. For many folks, it’s a signal that summer is on its way.

There will be many midnight release parties in Michigan, but that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the fun because Bar Louie at University Park Mall will have a midnight release party this Sunday, March 20, until 2 a.m.
You can find Oberon at Belmont Beverage, Chalet Party Shoppe and City Wide Liquor locations throughout Norther Indiana. You can also find it on tap on release day at the restaurants and pubs listed in the map below.
