Udon have to wait much longer for Noodles & Co. to open at Shoppes on Six in Elkhart.
The company announced in a press release that the grand opening of their new restaurant will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 21.
Noodles & Co. is known for offering customizable cooked-to-order meals, with options for cage free eggs, naturally-raised antibiotic-free pork and organic tofu.
Customers at the new location, just south of the toll road, will be able to try Noodles’ new menu item, Korean barbecue meatballs, which are tossed in Gochujang sauce — a Korean condiment with a spicy and sweet flavor that’s made from red chili, glutinous rice, fermented soybeans and salt. According to the release, Noodles is the first national chain restaurant to feature Gochujang sauce on their menu.

“With a broad menu of noodles, salads, soups and sandwiches, you can get a different taste every day, in lots of different ways. We offer flavors from around the world, right down the street,” said Erin Murphy, senior manager of communications at Noodles & Co.
The restaurant will also offer a catering service, which will provide buffet-style meals for 20 people or more and includes entrées, sides and desserts. They will also offer an à la carte catering option, which will serve up to 10 people.
The 2,600 square-foot building — the 47th location in Indiana, according to the company — will seat 62 people inside and has room for an additional 18 people on the patio.
The restaurant will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
