Valentine's Day 2016: Several Michiana restaurants will be open for the holiday or are offering special meals

If you haven’t planned for Valentine’s Day, don’t panic. Several local restaurants are offering specials through the weekend for you to enjoy a lovely evening with your sweetheart.


523 Tap & Grill, 523 S. Main St.: The restaurant will serve a Valentine’s Day dinner from 4 to 9 p.m. Feb. 14. Reservations must be made.

b on the River, 333 NIBCO Parkway.: The café will offer Ghyslain Chocolates for Valentine’s Day through Feb. 14.

Bacon Hill Kitchen and Pub, 4000 C.R. 10.: The restaurant will be open for normal brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. then opening again at 4 p.m. for dinner and will offer food and drink features for the holiday. To make a reservation, call 574-264-2337 or email

Chubby Trout, 2730 Cassopolis St.: The restaurant will be offering tapas-style plates as their weekly menu special during regular business hours.

Iechyd Da Brewing Co., 317 N. Main St.: The brewhouse will be offering cupcake and beer flights — three mini cupcakes from Mini Delights paired with three 5-ounce beer samples — for $6 from Feb. 11 to 14, while supplies last. People who stop in may also enter a drawing from Feb. 11 to 14 to win two passes to the Elkhart Jazz Festival The restaurant will be open everyday from noon to 8 p.m.

McCarthy’s on the Riverwalk, 333 NIBCO Parkway: The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Feb. 12 and 13 and will feature a special menu for Valentine’s Day.


Venturi, 123 E. Lincoln Ave.: The restaurant will be open Feb. 14 and will offer a dinner for two special which will include salad, margherita pizza and dessert. The cocktail special will be a chocolate cherry Manhatten made with Bulleit Rye, Carpano Antica, Cherry Heering, Scrappy’s chocolate bitters, Bitterman’s Xocoolatl Mole bitters with an Amerena Cherry.


41 Degrees North, 104 Main St.: The restaurant will be open Feb. 13 and will offer a bone-in ribeye for two and will include dessert and a red carnation for ladies. They will also offer take-home wine glasses with the purchase of a bottle of wine, and hallowed out strawberry Jell-o shots as well as other Valentine’s-themed drinks.


Fiddlers Hearth, 127 Main St.: Beginning at 5 p.m. Feb. 12, the pub will offer their annual craft beer and chocolate pairing for $15. They will offer the special until Feb. 14.

LaSalle Grill and LaSalle Kitchen and Tavern, 115 W. Colfax Ave.: The restaurants will offer a gift card deal from Feb. 11 to 14. If you buy a gift card for $100, you’ll get a $20 bonus card free. Online orders only.

Tapastrie, 103 W. Colfax Ave.: The restaurant will be open from 4:30 to 10 p.m. Feb. 12 and 13 and from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Feb. 14. They will offer a special Valentine’s Day menu along with their regular menu. Items on the special menu will cost $35 per person, with optional wine pairings for $30 per person.
