Megan McLaughlin is the newest owner of Dandino’s Supper Club located in Goshen.
McLaughlin worked at the restaurant for eight years as a part-time bartender and waitress before becoming a manager and eventually the owner.
The restaurant is undergoing cleaning and remodeling and will have a new look, but will still have the same staff members, including manager Shanna Troyer. The menu will also look similar, minus a few items that did not sell well in the past.
The hours will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays and 5 to 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The restaurant is located at 1407 Elkhart Road, Goshen.
Phil Schreiber recently opened Taphouse on the Edge in the former Between the Buns location at 1803 South Bend Ave., near Notre Dame.
Schreiber introduced a new menu last week, which is similar to the Between the Buns menu but includes a few changes such as jambalaya, blackened shrimp tacos, a Reubenesque and the Hipster Salad.
The taphouse will also emphasize beer brewed nearby at local breweries such as Greenbush.
Local dining scene veteran Larry Katz has signed on to be the general manager of Vegetable Buddies in South Bend.
Katz has years of experience running food and beverage operations and is looking forward to the new role.
“I’m here now. It’ll be a lot of fun. Nightclub setting. It’s going to be a blast,” he said.
Renovations are currently ongoing at 131 N. Michigan St., the new location for Vegetable Buddies. Depending on licensing, it could be several months before the nightclub opens its doors.
