Photo Gallery: Flavor 574 Beer Bus Tour travels to Kalamazoo Beer Week to celebrate craft beer

The Flavor 574 Beer Bus Tour to Kalamazoo Beer Week saw more than 50 people travel from Goshen to Elkhart to Kalamazoo, Mich., to spend several hours participating in the annual beer crawl, which celebrates craft beer and craft brewing.

The morning began at Goshen Brewing Co., where the group ate a brunch (and let’s be real, having a beer or two) of chicken and waffles (or fruit and waffles) and being offered a tour of the brewery. The group piled onto the Cardinal bus and continued to Iechyd Da Brewing Co. for another round of beers. At Iechyd Da, co-owner Summer Lewis gave a quick speech to the crew and presented them with their beer week survival snack bags, which contained useful items such as hummus, a muffin, trail mix and a set of prepackaged aspirin.

The group arrived in Kalamazoo in the afternoon and dispersed for several hours to explore beer week on their own. Some found a place they liked and relaxed, some explored multiple places and some took the time to tour Bells Brewery in Comstock, Mich., before catching the bus back home.

Kalamazoo Beer Week will run through Jan. 23, with special events happening daily.
