Dandino’s Supper Club may be closed, but could have a new beginning.

Several readers have pointed out that the restaurant at 1407 Elkhart Road, Goshen, wasn’t open for lunch and dinner on Thursday, Jan. 7.

For the second time in less than a year, a sign on the door says the restaurant is closed. This sign reads: “Closed temporarily. Opening soon under new management. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.”

Chris Stoller purchased the restaurant from longtime owners Bob and Joan Allberry. He was remodeling it and making some changes to the supper club, which Mike Dandino Sr. opened in 1965 and the Allberry family operated for more than 30 years before Stoller took over.

In June, the restaurant closed for several days when the Allberrys and Stoller had to renegotiate a rental agreement.

So far, Stoller hasn’t responded to a phone message and we don’t know who the new owners could be. We will update the story as we get details.
