County Seat Cafe is joining the ranks of restaurants offering Sunday brunch.
The longtime Goshen restaurant started to open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays in mid-November and offer a limited menu.
“It’s more contemporary than what we used to do,” said owner Tim Huser. Few places are open downtown on Sundays and there’s a need for places to go, he said.

The menu includes Eggs Benedict, fried mush, omelets and baked ham or chicken dinners. Of course, the Fritz Special, a mix of eggs, potatoes and sausage, is also available. Prices range from $2.95 for pancakes to $6.95 for the ham or chicken dinner with mashed potatoes, a side dish and vegetable.
He does not have a liquor license, so don’t expect mimosas.
The cafe at 124 W. Jefferson St., Goshen, is closed Mondays and open 4:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday.
