Through the month of October, Ben’s will accept donations from customers who can add their name to a “battleship” posted outside of the pretzel stores. The minimum donation is $1 and the goal is to pass the $17,000 raised earlier this year, according to a news release from Ben’s Soft Pretzels.

To kick off “Pretzeltober,” as Ben’s calls it, you can grab a free jumbo soft pretzel Thursday, Oct. 1 at the Goshen, Kokomo and Lafayette locations, according to its Facebook page.
“We love partnering with a great organization like the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund,” vice president of marketing Jillian Koeneman said in the news release. “Exactly 100 percent of the money raised goes to the Fund’s programs, and that’s extremely important.”
