Where to get free coffee for National Coffee Day, conversation with Kurt Janowsky, more
You’ve probably seen Kurt Janowsky bouncing between Artisan, Cafe Navarre, Rocky River and more — he’s a busy guy but has become one of the most successful restaurateurs in northern Indiana.
Flavor 574 sat down with Janowsky for its series, “Uncooked,” to learn a little more about Janowsky outside of the kitchen.

Questions range from easy stuff like “What did you have for breakfast?” to “How do you define success?”
The only thing better than coffee is free coffee.
National Coffee Day is Tuesday, Sept. 29, and there are a few places in our area to grab a cup on the house.
Krispy Kreme will hand out a free original glazed doughnut and a free 12 oz. coffee, Honey’s in Goshen will hand out free small cups of coffee and Dunkin’ Doughnuts will have free dark roast on hand.
It’s still September (though not for much longer) but Oktoberfest celebrations are already underway, leading up to a big day of celebrating Oct. 3.
Goshen Brewing Company already tapped its Oktoberfest brew, according to previous Flavor 574 reporting.
On Oct. 3, Pillars of Elkhart, Miles Lab and Goshen Brewing Co., will have celebrations.
