For overworked doctors, teachers, college kids, emergency responders and yes, even journalists, National Coffee Day should be every day.
And we can’t turn down a free cup of coffee when it’s available.
National Coffee Day is Tuesday, Sept. 29. Some national chains are handing out free java in honor of the food holiday.

Here’s where to go and what you have to do for free coffee:
What can I get: A free medium cup of hot or iced dark roast coffee, according to a news release from Dunkin’ Donuts.

What do I have to do: Simply visit the shop at 620 W. Lincoln Ave., Goshen, and order.
What can I get: A free small cup of coffee.
What do I have to do: Just visit The Black Crow on Main, 224 S. Main St., Elkhart.
What can I get: A free 12 oz. coffee and a free original glazed doughnut, according to Krispy Kreme’s website.
What do I have to do: Just order it and enjoy.
