Creighton's Crazy Egg Cafe and Coffee Bar brings another option to Warsaw's west side

Starting with the silo and big red tractor that greet you at the entrance, the awe and wonderment of the new Creighton’s Crazy Egg Cafe and Coffee Bar, located at 4217 W. Old Road 30 just west of Warsaw, inundates the senses.

While portraying the poultry and farming industries as glamorous is often challenging, the Crazy Egg manages to pull it off deftly, creating a new coffee and dining experience that melds rustic and luxurious elements into a cohesive menagerie that will have you reaching for your camera every time you put your cup of coffee down.

Featuring a double-sided fireplace, soft lighting, natural elements and plenty of seating options, the Crazy Egg is sure to become a favorite haunt for patrons looking for a coffee and dining destination in an area sorely lacking in options.

The cafe (dining) part of the Crazy Egg isn’t currently offering a menu, so there are no food items available. The cafe’s opening is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 19 — you can “like” its Facebook page for the latest developments. Until then, you can enjoy the drink options at the Coffee Bar which include its signature drink, the Crazy Egg Mocha, a deliciously blended white chocolate concoction with swirls of caramel and just enough kick to get your morning started right.

Drinks also include a fruit smoothie, lattes, cappuccinos, hot chocolate, blended coffee and organic iced tea with frozen blended options available where applicable.

While the cafe and coffee bar are located on the east side of the building, the west side houses “The Roost,” a tour/banquet facility that can be rented out for events. Featuring seating for 300 people, the space includes interactive displays, as well as real life items used in the processes at Creighton Brothers, offering an education-like atmosphere that affords visitors the opportunity to learn more about the inner workings at this longtime Kosciusko business.

The new Creighton’s Crazy Egg Cafe and Coffee Bar also does its part for sustainability by utilizing lumber from its barns as well as other industry items that not only form walls, create furniture and decorate the interior but help to provide the space with a warm and inviting family-friendly environment.

The coffee bar is currently open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. When the cafe opens in October, its hours will be 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the coffee bar’s hours (along with the retail area which consists of merchandise such as coffee mugs, shirts and sweatshirts) will be adjusted to 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Customers can check the Facebook page for the latest schedule.
