It’s supposed to be gray and drizzly the rest of the day and into the evening, but that doesn’t mean date night has to mean sweatpants, pizza and movies at home.

Grab an umbrella, bring a sweater and head out for dinner and a movie.

Try some local beer and something new at Crooked Ewe, 1047 Lincolnway East, South Bend.

If you or your sweetie has dietary restrictions, be sure to ask for the vegan menu. You could split some smaller plates, like the popular Ewe Tso (vegan) or some wings for a lighter dinner if you want to save room for snacks.

After, duck inside for a movie. There’s a list of films playing at AMC Showplace South Bend 16, 450 W. Chippewa Ave. A good handful start between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m., so keep that in mind when at dinner. See the website for a full list of films and show times.
