Since today marks the beginning of what will probably be a three-day weekend for a lot of folks, Friday date night is worth a bit of a longer drive.
The Marshall County Blueberry Festival kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4 and is open until 9 p.m. at Centennial Park, 1660 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Consider eating a big lunch or having a small bite before driving to Plymouth, because there will be no shortage of goodies at the festival.
There’ll be blueberry ice cream, blueberry pies and shortcakes and, of course, blueberry doughnuts to share with your sweetie. You can find most of the food in the nonprofit food area at the park’s main food court, according to previous Flavor 574 reporting.
