Georgia brewery to release official beer for 'The Walking Dead'
Like most of you, we at The Ale Underground are “Walking Dead” fans. I’ve personally been a fan since before TV picked up on the epic story from the graphic novels and comics.
If you’re anything like me, mentally preparing for an episode is an all day event. This, of course, includes beer. Until now my go to beer for “Walking Dead” preparation has been Zombie Dust from 3 Floyds Brewing Co. in Indiana.
Ok, so Zombie Dust is named after another recreational … ahem … concoction, and not the show. It does have a zombie on the label though, and the folks at 3 Floyds are “Walking Dead” fans. That counts, right?

Anyway, if you’ve felt empty inside because you didn’t have a proper theme beer to get you amped for “The Walking Dead” (if you can’t get Zombie Dust where you live, I pity you so hard), fret no more!
Terrapin Beer Co. in Georgia has teamed up with “The Walking Dead” to finally make a legit, official “Walking Dead” beer aptly named The Walking Dead Blood Orange IPA. Oh snap! An IPA! A blood orange IPA! Did you catch that Terrapin Beer Co. is in Georgia? Man, they don’t miss anything in the Walking Dead franchise. That’s like a real life easter egg.
The beer will be a Red India Pale Ale, brewed with blood orange peels to bump up the citrus note, and Terrapin claims it will have a “horrific” amount of hops, and be 6.7 percent ABV.
Can’t freakin wait!
