KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Things are going to look a little different at Bell’s Eccentric Cafe.
The cafe, 355 E. Kalamazoo Ave., will close its kitchen, which MLive reports has been used for 15 years, on Friday, July 3.
But the kitchen closure will be short lived. Just 10 days after, on July 13, Bell’s will unveil a brand new kitchen, dining area and menu, according to MLive.
In the meantime, Bell’s is letting food trucks set up outside the cafe and will offer some snacks from the bar starting Sunday, July 5.

As it stands at the moment, the new dining room at the Eccentric Cafe is boarded until the unveiling but will make way for additional seating and an expanded menu, according to community blogger Eric Strader, who snagged a tour of the new dining space during a recent visit.
