ELKHART — Another popular restaurant chain is coming to Elkhart’s Shoppes on Six development.
Fast-casual pasta chain Noodles & Company has signed a lease for a space in a building planned for the southwest corner of Cassopolis Street and C.R. 6, said Eric Wojak, project manager for developer Thompson Thrift.
Construction on the building will begin next month, Wojak said. The building will also be home to Mattress Firm and another restaurant.

The Broomfield, Colo.-based chain opened its first restaurant in 1995 in Denver and as of December 2014, had 439 locations nationwide, according to the company’s website.
The restaurant specializes in made-to-order pasta dishes and also serves a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches. Its best-selling dish is the Wisconsin Mac & Cheese, according to the website.
Noodles & Company joins several other popular chain restaurants in the development. Dunkin’ Donuts and Penn Station East Coast Subs opened last year in a building on C.R. 6 and construction is underway on the building that will house Panda Express on Cassopolis Street.
