Beer and popcorn are the new soda and popcorn at the movies, at least for the movie-going crowd in Niles, Mich.

Wonderland Cinema, 402 N. Front St., has a new area tucked away at the end of the concessions counter so adult moviegoers can order beer or a cocktail, Heidi Prescott with the South Bend Tribune reports. Wonderland is the first theater of its kind in the area to get a liquor license, according to the report.

The addition of liquor to the concession offerings comes after other improvements to the snack offerings at the theater, Prescott reports.

Beer offerings include Budweiser, Miller and craft offerings like Goose Island and Tapistry, according to the report. A 12 ounce is $3 and a 16 ounce is $4, with cocktails costing $5, according to the South Bend Tribune.

Moviegoers are limited to two drinks per person at the theater, according to the report.
