Mishawaka's Zing Japanese Fusion postpones second 50 percent off week after overwhelming response
In the restaurant world, there might be such a thing as too much success.
In a show of customer appreciation, Zing Japanese Fusion, 206 N. Main St., Mishawaka, recently offered 50 percent off all food and drink in celebration of its third year of operation.
According to a statement from the restaurant, the promotion nearly tripled business before wrapping Saturday, June 20 — a week earlier than the planned Sunday, June 28 end date.
In the same statement, president Jeremy Young said the restaurant needs time to order and prepare food materials while the staff recover from the hectic week.

The promotion, which can also be applied to takeout orders, is expected to continue for another week sometime in the near future, although a date has yet to be determined.
Reservations for this week, placed last week beginning June 15, will still be honored.
The recent success of the Asian fusion restaurant follows last year’s mention as one of Midwest Living’s top 10 dining destinations from around the region.
