After decades in business, an Edwardsburg restaurant and outdoor sporting goods shop is closing permanently.
Lunker’s and Angler’s Inn, which expanded to open a restaurant in 1992, announced its closure Thursday, June 11, after 30 years in business, The Elkhart Truth reported. Financial difficulties led to the business’ decision to shut down.

After the recession took a toll on the business, it was never able to fully recover, the Truth reported. The restaurant’s menu featured seafood and beef entrees, as well as an extensive cocktail list and wine selection, according to its website.
“It’s really a shame,” Lunker’s assistant manager Larry Buckley said. “The institution has been here for such a very, very long time.”
