On our plates: Pizza Wars voting is open, new Goshen cheese shop, more
Northern Indiana is buzzing with food news this week, and we’re hearing quite a lot of chatter about pizza as pies are being pit against one another in…

Elkhart, St. Joseph, Kosciusko, LaGrange, LaPorte, Marshall and Porter counties are going head-to-head and it’s time to vote for your favorite pizza in each county. Nominees were chosen last week and multiple voting rounds will name one winner that will advance to the regional competition.
But only one will reign supreme. You can follow the competition with the tag #PizzaWarsNI.
Rachel Shenk is a few weeks away from opening The Wedge, a specialty cheese shop, at 212 W. Washington St., in Goshen, according to Flavor 574 reporting.

Fourteen people baked a few dozen cookies for a bake-off in the offices and 26 eager people ranked their favorites. Flavor 574 has a few recipes from the top picks — one of which even includes bacon.
Another way to have a belated celebration is to try a few different spins on the classic cookie. We asked Flavor 574 readers what their favorite ways to eat chocolate chip cookies were and shared a few unique recipes.
