Tossing your self-control into the wind and noshing on big plates of Mexican food for Cinco de Mayo is never a bad idea — except when everyone else and their brother has the same idea. 

You can have just as much delicious food and just as much fun staying in and trying a new recipe, but going to your neighborhood grocery store might be a challenge. After all, most people don’t keep an entire cabinet full of spices to make a bona fide Mexican dish.
