Family, friends and Indiana’s craft cocktail community are rallying to support a Warsaw bartender combating cancer for the second time.
Jason Bodley, cocktail king of Oak & Alley at 114 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw, is undergoing his second round of chemotherapy after being cleared from his initial bout with the disease over four years ago.

A fundraiser dubbed Drink for Jason will take place from 2 to 10 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at Oak & Alley.
Cocktail comrades from The Ball & Biscuit in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne’s The Golden will join with Bodley’s co-workers for a specialty drink contest, and a group of yet-to-be-confirmed area chefs will provide food.
Individual food and drink tickets are priced at $6 and can be purchased at the event, with all proceeds going toward Bodley’s treatment costs. Fifty t-shirts bearing a drawing of bespectacled Bodley and his beloved beard will also be sold. Live music is scheduled outdoors, weather permitting.
Graphic designer Aaron Winey, who is responsible for the Drink for Jason logo, has organized a GoFundMe campaign for Bodley and his family. The crowdfunding effort exceeded its original $5,000 goal and raised over $11,000 in only 26 days.
