Award-winning chef Greg Schiesser has been named the new executive chef for Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, according to a news release.
Schiesser will oversee Dickies Restaurant and Putter’s Bar & Grille, which offers a “modern twist to American classics” with pasta dishes, fresh seafood and aged beef, the news release stated. He will also be in charge of hotel catering and private events.
“I am looking forward to working with the staff at Swan Lake and helping continue the growth of the two great restaurants on the property,” Schiesser said.
He brings 17 years of culinary experience to Swan Lake Resort. He previously served as the executive chef and director of food and beverage at Wyndham Resorts in Indianapolis and Indiana Grand Casino in Shelbyville.
He has received several awards for his cooking, including winning first place for Indiana Taste of Elegance’s “Chef Par Excellence” in 2013.
“He possesses an incredible mixture of experience, leadership, and creativity; His wealth of experience will be coupled with our ongoing commitment to providing our guests with extraordinary dining experiences, highlighted by well balanced, local ingredients,” said Kevin Smith, general manager at Swan Lake Resort.
Schiesser takes over for Zachary Lucchese, who joined his brother to start Bacon Hill Kitchen and Pub at 4000 E. Bristol St. in Elkhart.
