Goshen-based pretzel maker Ben’s Soft Pretzels is joining the roster of snacks available during the ballgame at Four Winds Field.
Ben’s Soft Pretzels were named the official pretzel of the South Bend Cubs and will be made on-site and sold at South Bend Cubs games, according to a news release from Ben’s Soft Pretzels.

Four Winds Field isn’t Ben’s Soft Pretzels first stadium appearance, however. The goods are also available at Notre Dame, University of Wisconsin, Murray State University and at two other minor league baseball games — Schaumburg Boomers and the Gary SouthShore RailCats, according to the release.

“Ben’s Soft Pretzels is honored to be the official soft pretzel of the South Bend Cubs,” Brian Krider, Ben’s Soft Pretzels Co-Founder and CEO, said in the release. “Two great local brands coming together to provide great baseball and great pretzels to a great community. It’s a win-win-win. Let’s play ball.”

Pretzel fans will also have a chance to get a pretzel on the cheap in honor of National Pretzel Day on Sunday, April 26.
A minimum of a dollar donation to Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund will get customers a jumbo soft pretzel, according to a news release from Ben’s Soft Pretzels.
One lucky winner will win a year’s worth of pretzels (that’s 365 free pretzels), and be able to celebrate National Pretzel Day every day. The winner will be chosen April 26 — all you have to do to enter is visit Ben’s Soft Pretzels on Facebook and name your favorite veteran.
Ben’s Soft Pretzels has plans for more chains in motion, with 50 more stores set to serve the pretzels by the end of the year, according to previous Flavor 574 reporting.
