Date night: Los Primos and laughs in Goshen

Share salsa and smiles for date night Saturday with an authentic Mexican dinner at Los Primos Restaurant followed by an improvised comedy show in Goshen.

Let Chef Martin Lopez, who has been working in the kitchen for more than 40 years, whip up a few tacos or a torta for dinner.

The small restaurant located at 122 E. Clinton St. attracts visitors from hours away, and the owners were recently highlighted by Good of Goshen in a feature article.

“I want to make sure that the flavor is good,” Martin said in the article. “I want to make sure that the food going out is good. I want to make sure that everything is organized, ready to go.”

Follow dinner with an 8 p.m. comedy show by GoProv at the Art House, 211 S. Main St.

GoProv is a collection of actors, musicians, comedians and performers who can make a crowd laugh.

The team will improvise a comedy press conference, speech debate and monologues. There will also be story telling and “Oral Olympics.”

Tickets are $10 at the door. Beer, wine, cider, popcorn, snacks and soda will be available for purchase.

Not ready to call it a night after the show? Head straight downstairs and grab a local beer from the Back Alley Brewery or a glass of local wine from Gateway Cellar Winery.
