It’s not quite in the land of the Irish, but a new pub is moving into Granger and is set to open soon.

Pat’s Irish Pub, 12634 Adams Road #7, is a lifelong dream for owner Patrick McCoullough, who was born and raised in Granger.

“I’ve been on campus for every Notre Dame home game since I was in fourth grade,” McCoullough told Flavor 574. “Plus, I’m Irish.”

The grand opening of the pub is set for April 17 and 18, McCullough said, with live music to kick things off.

The pub will serve “high-end bar food,” McCoullough said, including appetizers, wings, burgers, wraps and pizza.

“I’m keeping the pizza,” he said. “It’s an old recipe. Our pizza is awesome.”

At least four craft beers will be on tap, with 12 beers on tap. McCoullough said he will also have Evil Czech and Bare Hands beers available for craft beer offerings.

McCoullough plans to have live music two, if not three, nights a week, he said, and is planning a bike night, a car cruise-in and a trivia night. He said he will also have an outdoor beer garden once the weather warms up. There are also 14 TVs in the pub, he said.

Pat’s Irish Pub will be open from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. weekdays and 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. on weekends, McCoullough said.
