Hop heads will soon get their first taste of South Bend’s newest source of suds.

On Monday, March 23, Andy Walton and Sean Meehan of Crooked Ewe Brewery and Ale House will unveil six varieties of their beer at Fiddler’s Hearth in South Bend. The event will run from 3 p.m. until the taps run dry.

Crooked Ewe Brewery, located at 1047 Lincolnway E. along the banks of the St. Joseph River in South Bend, is still undergoing preparations for a yet-to-be determined opening date.

Featured beers will include an oatmeal stout, amber ale, American wheat, cream ale and IPA.

Walton and Meehan’s beer will also be available at City Wide Liquors’ free local brewery tasting, taking place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 26 at the company’s South Bend location, 109 E. Jefferson Blvd.
