Dairy Queen giving out free vanilla cones for 75th birthday
Dairy Queen is celebrating its 75th birthday and we’re all invited.
On Monday, March 16 — the start of the last week of winter — Dairy Queen will hand out free small vanilla cones as a way of marking the birthday and as a gesture of thanks to customers, according to the Dairy Queen website.
Freebies are limited to one per customer, but the birthday party won’t stop at Free Cone Day.
“… Free Cone Day is just the beginning,” Barry Westrum, executive vice president of marketing for Dairy Queeen, said in a news release. “We will surprise and delight our fans year-round with food and treat innovations that they have come to expect from us. We’re extending the celebration beyond Free Cone Day because it’s about more than just one day. It’s about the people that have been making the Dairy Queen brand a part of their lives for almost a century.”
During Free Cone Day, Dairy Queen requests donations for the Children’s Miracle Network, which helps children at more than 170 hospitals, according to the release.
