South Bend's Main Street Coffee House closes its doors after about a decade downtown
After about a decade serving the South Bend community, Main Street Coffee House is closing the doors on its downtown location.
Marcus Miller, the coffee house’s owner, announced on Facebook that the shop’s last day will be Friday, March 6.
“We are grateful for every customer that has stepped through these doors, and want you to know this has been a very difficult decision to reach,” the Facebook post published Friday morning, Feb. 27, said.
Marcus Miller and his wife, Debra, opened the South Bend coffee shop at 102 N. Main Street in 2005, the South Bend Tribune reported.
Main Street Roasters’ original Nappanee location will remain open, the Facebook post said. Employees were told about the closing Friday morning and have been given the opportunity to transfer to the Nappanee shop, the Tribune reported.
