Cathy Nilli and her mother Naomi Weekes hope to introduce their gluten-free baked goods to a greater audience.
After operating a booth for three years at the South Bend Farmers market, the pair recently opened a permanent storefront for Bread 4 Life Bakery at 2454 Miracle Lane in Mishawaka’s Town & Country Shopping Centre.

The mother and daughter duo will still operate at the market on their usual Tuesdays and Thursdays, but decided it was time to make Bread 4 Life a full-time destination.
“There’s a demand and this was an opportunity to establish and grow our business,” said Nilli.

With its emphasis on freshly milled gluten-free flour and preservative-free ingredients, Bread 4 Life’s foods meet the dietary restrictions of customers with celiac disease and gluten-intolerance.
In addition to organic, gluten-free cakes, muffins, breads, bars and granola, the new Bread 4 Life storefront allows Nilli and Weekes to serve kale and fruit smoothies and prepared entrees like vegetarian chili, jerk chicken, stew beef and stew chicken.
