A Valentine's Day do-over for downtown Elkhart restaurants
Last weekend’s Valentine’s Day blizzard foiled date night plans for many couples. And for restaurants that ended up with crickets on what should have been the busiest night of the year, it was even more disappointing.
An editorial in The Elkhart Truth this week urged diners to help make up for it by trying again this weekend.
Those who planned to attend the Bill Engvall show at The Lerner Theatre in Elkhart get their chance for a do-over this Sunday, Feb. 22, with shows rescheduled for 4 and 7 p.m.
Downtown Elkhart restaurants that would have been the pre- or post-show destinations for those Engvall fans are opening their doors on Sunday to make sure the theater crowds are well fed — even those that are not typically open on Sundays.
