Siam Thai closing downtown South Bend restaurant
Siam Thai in downtown South Bend is closing its doors.
After 19 years, owner Nat Buraprateep will serve his last on Feb. 14 — Valentine’s Day — to make time to spend with his parents, who live in Thailand, South Bend Tribune reports.
Siam Thai’s second Asian fusion location in Mishawaka closed a few weeks ago, according to the South Bend Tribune.
As more Japanese and Chinese restaurants opened in the Granger and Mishawaka areas in recent years, Buraprateep recognized the need for a Thai restaurant and focused on creating authentic Thai cuisine, according to previous reporting from the South Bend Tribune.
A new restaurant might open in the space, the South Bend Tribune reports.
