Drinking beer is a social event, and it can be enhanced by the type of drinkware that you use.
There are all sorts of beer glasses designed specifically for different styles of beer, but quite often the most fun can be a handmade beer mug or cup that is purchased directly from the maker. Needless to say, such mugs also make fantastic gifts for your favorite drinking buddies.
Conveniently enough, 20 regional potters will be selling their wares this weekend at the Michiana Pottery Christmas Market. The market is from 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Hawks Building in downtown Goshen.
From press release:
This event includes artists from Goshen, Fort Wayne, Bristol, and Bloomington, Indiana as well as artists from Mt. Pleasant, Three Rivers, Constantine, Berrien Springs, Kalamazoo, and Hillsdale, Michigan. A wide range of ceramic work by a diverse and talented group of clay artists will be available for purchase.
Patrons will find a variety of functional and decorative ceramics available including wood-fired ceramics, crystalline porcelain work, functional earthenware, gas-fired stoneware, handmade pottery tools and more. All artists will be on hand to speak about their work and their creative process. Artists include: Troy Bungart, Moey Hart, Marvin Bartel, Steve Hansen, Dick Lehman, Eric Kaufmann, Todd Pletcher, Fred Driver, Fuzzy Schwartz, Eric Strader, Jennifer Creighton, Ryan Taylor, Greg Stahly, Heidi Fahrenbacher, Zach Tate, Rebecca Graves, Stephanie Galli, Mark Goertzen, Joel Pisowicz, and Justin Rothshank.
