A South Bend café with a Louisiana twist will soon provide customers with more dining choices and extra elbow room.
The expansion is on track to be completed by December.
The cozy eatery offers a New Orleans-inspired menu including beignets, jambalaya, po’boy sandwiches, alligator bites, gumbo and gelato. The beverage selection features Fair Trade coffees and a full bar with craft beers, wines and specialty drinks.
The driving force behind the expansion is the owners’ desire to offer more performance space for live music, the South Bend Tribune reports.
Chicory Café regularly hosts music performances, trivia nights and discussions.
