Fans of Bill’s Bar-B-Que in Elkhart now have double the opportunity to fill up on those mouthwatering ribs.
The Elkhart restaurant opened its second location at 2426 Benham Ave. on Sunday, July 6.
Will Lee, owner of Bill’s, said that a lot of the Franklin Street regulars found their way to the new location as soon as the restaurant opened its doors.
“We didn’t do much advertising for the opening so we can work out any last kinks,” Lee said. “We just popped a few signs up outside and business was great.”
Lee, who has been “bouncing back and forth between both locations” estimated 150 people came through the new spot on Sunday and predicts the second day will double business.
In addition to the best-selling barbecue offered at the Franklin Street location, the new Benham Avenue restaurant will have several unique menu items, including homestyle baked beans, mac ’n’ cheese and corn bread.
“It’s nice to finally be open,” Lee said. “We’ve had a steady flow knocking on our doors, saying, ’are you open yet?’ So it’s good to finally give the people what they want.
Hours for the new location, 2426 Benham Ave., are Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Dine-in, carry-out, and call in options are available.
