Want free food this month? July 11 is the best bet.
Three famed food chains will offer discounted or free deals for a smaller dent in your wallet this on Friday, July 11, with another special offer on Tuesday, July 8.
You’ll have to dress like a cow for one meal – still worth it – but the other three are udderly embarrassment-free.
Here are four local scores any foodie will appreciate:
July 8: Stop at IHOP
Eat a short stack of buttermilk pancakes for only 56 cents in honor of IHOP’s 56th birthday at participating IHOP locations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Elkhart location is at 2905 Ferndale Road and the Mishawaka location is at 4115 N. Main St.
July 11: Thank heaven for free Slurpees
Happy 7-Eleven Day! Visit the convenience store from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for a free small Slurpee drink. But wait, there’s more: if customers download 7-Eleven’s mobile app, they’ll get free stuff every day from July 12 to July 19 for 7-Eleven Week. Slurp away in Goshen (1000 S. Main St. or 2220 Elkhart Road) and Elkhart (25960 C.R. 20 or 58458 S.R. 19 S), among other local stores.
July 11: Happy birthday, Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme is celebrating its 77th year with a gift for its customers: buy one dozen donuts and get a 2nd dozen of the classic glazed recipe for 77 cents. Pick up your 24 treats at 5615 North Main St. in Mishawaka.
July 11: Cows eat chicken (for free)
Dress up like a cow and get a free meal from Chick-fil-A for Cow Appreciation Day. A full moo-inspired costume earns a free meal; a cow accessory means a free entrée. Print out a DIY cow costume from Chick-fil-A’s website (or get creative and make your own!), then visit locations at 5517 N Main St. or 6501 Grape Rd. (inside University Park Mall) in Mishawaka or 4555 S. Michigan St. in South Bend.
