Zombie Dust is now rising from the tap at New Paradigm Brewing Company in downtown Elkhart. This IPA from the Munster-based craft brewery Three Floyds is one of those beers that doesn’t come around often, or stay long when it does.

Brandon Stanley, co-owner of New Paradigm, is excited about having the elusive brew on tap.

“It probably won’t make it through the weekend,” Stanley said.

According to Dan Szucs, a craft beer specialist at Indiana Beverage — the Northern Indiana distributor for Three Floyd’s — there are only around four or five establishments in Michiana currently with a keg of the beer.

Szucs explained that he doesn’t get Zombie Dust every week, so when it comes to which establishments are allotted the coveted kegs, it depends on the available inventory of Zombie Dust that Szucs is given to dole out.

Stanley didn’t hesitate to accept when offered the chance to carry the beer. He said that when it comes to snagging a particular type of beer, “Zombie Dust is about as hard as it gets.”

If you’re in the South Bend area, there have also been sightings of Zombie Dust on tap this week at O’Rourkes, Buffalo Wild Wings and Corby’s.
